Air Release Valves

Air release valves are required on all positive pressure systems to allow the air in the pipework to escape thus preventing damage to pumps, pipes and fittings.   Vacuum breakers are required to allow air to enter the pipework when necessary to prevent pipe collapse.   Click on the link here to view the video on "Why do we need air release valves? or "Save money & energy"

	25mm Vacuum Breaker Valve - ARI AV-010-25 ARI vacuum breakers allow air to enter the pipework as soon as the pressure inside the pipework is less than zero kPa.   It may also allow trapped air to escape from the pipework under positive pressure however, as soon as the water in the system hits the underside of the valve, the valve will close.   In situations where you need the entrapped air to be released while the system has a positive pressure, use an ARI "Segev" or "Barak" automatic air release valve.   Max 10 Bar.  The units supplied will have a blue top and black body. Admits air into the pipelines at high flow rates during its drainage. Dynamic design allows high velocity air discharge, up to 0.7 bar differential pressure; Preventing premature closing. Specially suitable for agricultural and landscape irrigation laterals. Drip-tight sealing at low pressure. All parts are UV-protected. Lightweight, small dimensions, simple and reliable structure. 	25mm ARI Blue Top Automatic Air Release Valve "Segev" SG-10 - Rated to 10 Bar This ARI 25mm automatic continuous acting air release valve (SG-10) is often used on filters, valve manifolds and main pressure pipelines to release air in small volumes when the pipeline is at positive pressure.   The "Automatic" air release valve has a 12mm square orifice that enables it to discharge air at high flow rates and is not exposed to obstruction by debris.   Don't forget to install a 1" ball valve on the inlet side of the Segev to enable you to isolate the valve while under pressure so that it can be cleaned.   Suitable for use on systems to 1,000 kPa and the valve has a sealing pressure of 20 kPa.
